Location and area
There is probably no better place to study than in the city with the oldest and most prestigious university in the western world.
The University of Bologna, founded in 1088, is the first university in Europe and one of the oldest in the world. The university has over 84,000 students and was the first university in Italy to offer degrees in art, music and the performing arts.
Bologna is one of the most popular locations for foreign students due to the wide range of degrees and master courses that are taught in English.
The strategic location, close to both the university and public transport facilities, makes it very suitable for offering (international) students temporary housing. The distance between the site and the old city centre is 15 minutes.
